Privacy policy Heinrichshofen Verlag

The processing of your personal data (its collection, storage and transmission as well as other processing) is reduced to the minimum necessary at Heinrichshofen. All our data processing procedures follow this principle. For example, you will not find any links to or plugins from Facebook or other web providers on our website. If cookies are used at all, we delete them from our data systems at the end of the web session or at the end of the web visit. This principle of data minimisation already serves your data security.

We comply with the statutory regulations in all processes. We treat your data confidentially even beyond the legal standard.

You can, of course, object to the storage and use of your data on our IT systems, unless we require them directly for the processing of your order or for legal reasons to the extent permitted by law.

If you object to the storage and use of your data, your data will be deleted immediately after complete processing, subject to the above, but not before payment has been made. The statutory provisions, in particular the statutory retention periods for business transactions (e.g. bookkeeping) will of course be observed and could, to the extent permitted by law, result in your data continuing to be stored in whole or in part despite your objection. We will be happy to provide further information about this on request.

When and for what purpose do we collect data?
Your data is only collected via the Internet data systems when you complete the order form in our online shop. This data is used to process the order process and to ensure successful payment. We therefore ask for your understanding if, in addition to your name, we also request your address and other data in order to be able to contact you.

In principle, we would like to include your data in our customer file. This will enable us to inform you about new publications and other news from our publishing programme. If you do not wish to make use of this information service, please deselect this option during the ordering process.

Data is not stored in our customer file for purposes other than the information purpose described. In particular, third parties have no access to our customer data and we do not pass it on to third parties with the following exception:

- For the purpose of despatch to a despatch company of our choice (e.g. Post, Hermes, DHL).
Special case "Registration for the anniversary celebration":
We will store the email address you enter in the registration field until 31 January 2023, after which the emails will be deleted from our email server. No further storage and, above all, no forwarding to third parties will take place!

What data is collected? Is this data encrypted?
Only the data that you fill in on the order form when placing your order is recorded and temporarily stored. This data is not depersonalised. We do not create profiles or undertake or initiate any other form of market behaviour research or similar.

By default, our system remembers certain basic data about your visit to our site, such as your IP address, time and duration of your visit and the data required for technical processing, such as browser and page view.

If you are nevertheless reluctant to enter your bank details, you have the alternative of paying by invoice. This allows you to avoid the remaining, technically unavoidable residual risks when entering your bank details on the Internet.

About the SSL system:
This is a tried-and-tested and secure data transmission method on the Internet. The SSL system modifies your data before it reaches our server in such a way that a third party cannot reconstruct this data. Furthermore, the SSL system ensures that the data is only sent to the server from which it was requested. And any changes made to the data record during the data flow are recognised by the SSL system, which checks it for completeness and any changes.

Does Heinrichshofen use cookies?
In principle, we want to avoid cookies. If cookies are nevertheless generated during data exchange and/or are technically necessary, they will be deleted from our data systems at the end of the web session or at the end of the web visit.
